My running career had started in February 1963rd I had reached the 3rd place at the cross country county championships at first go and that behind the current Bavarian/Upper Bavarian Champion.
Talent: After that success, I was trained and built up by the former coach Schuhbeck sen. & jun.
Then in the 80s, I founded a runner's appointment in Eiselfing with support of the Barmer health insurance company Wasserburg with over 100 participators.
I then created the “Running Friends” Eiselfing in 1991 where distances were run in groups and in the length of 10, 20 kilometres or marathon distance, either national or international level. I was able to gain a lot of running experience at that time.
In 1992, I participated at a long term mountain run in Switzerland for the first time. This is known as the “Wimbledon” of mountain running called the “Swiss Alpine” in Davos. It is already now the 10th time that I successfully finished this run.
All these years, I was evidently “the only” who made all mentioned distances. There were several more of these international mountain runs and that always kept me fascinated.

However, my favourite distance remains being the long.

DESTINATION/TASKS
 

 

My heart beats for children, therefore, I started to forward my experience due to numerous adventures to beneficial running events helping children in need.



My destination is now: “Continuous helping“ (In German: Laufend helfen – „Laufend“ can either mean continuous or „running“. There is no direct translation for this expression)

This assignment demands die fulfilment of different tasks:
a) the necessary inquiries
b) the planning of the running event
c) the coordination of the appointments
d) „running“
e) to hand over the gained income at a ratio of 1:1 to the appropriate organization

Year 2004 - DOLICHOS-Race at the antique Olympia    

From 776 before Christ until 396 after Christ, the Greeks carried out the Olympic Games in the honour of their highest God Zeus. 1608 years later, 42 athletes started again with 5 Greeks from Olympia among them at this race.
The DOLICHOS Race had the longest distance with 4614th48 metres at the old Olympia.
